These awards are given to cosmetology and esthiology students who show promise to excel in the business of beauty. The team consisted of Natalie Lamarque, Cut & Stylist, LaShawn Revader, Colorist and Thuy Pham, Makeup artist. The students submitted before and after photos of hairstyles (winning look pictured) along with essays on the method for their creations. http://www.avedainstitutesbb.com/events.php/ Birmingham Magazine featured the Aveda Institute in the special October Careers and Recruitment issue. The article highlighted the affordable, luxurious services and top education that the school offers. http://avedainstitutesbb.com/events.php Aveda Institutes including Atlanta, Baton Rouge, Covington, Charlotte, Lafayette, Houston and New Orleans raised a combined $67, 2008.99 during Earth Month. These funds will be used in the local communities and around the world for clean water projects. OK, she's not European as the headline of this ad suggests, but we love her worldliness in the realm of customer service. And even back in the day she had cute hair. They showed off their talent and creativity for a packed audience at Eleven50 in midtown Atlanta. In conjunction with an extravagant hair show, the students were also raising money for Beauty Aid, which unites the beauty industry to raise money for local AIDS organizations in Atlanta.
