Financial Aid
Because we know what it’s like to live on a tight budget
Financial Aid is available to those who qualify. The Aveda Institute participates in federally sponsored Pell Grants and the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP), and each Aveda Institute is staffed with a Financial Aid Director to assist you in financing your education. (Your Admissions Director will put you in touch with a Financial Aid Director during your application process.)

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the first step in the financial aid process. You use the FAFSA to apply for federal student aid, such as grants and loans. This is a free application and you should not be charged for completing it. Visit the FAFSA website at FAFSA.ed.gov to begin your application.
The Sallie Mae website is a great resource for information on planning for college, applying for financial aid, and managing student loans.
Federal Student Aid for College or Career School
The U.S. Department of Education provides grants, loans, and work-study opportunities to eligible students attending participating colleges or career schools. The Department is the source of nearly 70 percent of all student aid awarded in the U.S. each year. The vast majority of the Department's aid is not based on academic merit. For further information and an online application, visit the Department's Web site at www.studentaid.ed.gov. Alternatively, you may call the Federal Student Aid Information Center toll free: 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243). TTY for the hearing-impaired is 1-800-730-8913.
